Before you rent something, here are a few important things to keep in mind:
1. Collection and Return
Agree in advance on when and where you’ll collect and return the item. Keep in mind that the lender may not always be able to adjust to your schedule, so make sure you coordinate a time that works for both of you.
2. Consumables and Wear
If the item requires consumables, check what’s expected:
Should a van be returned with a full tank?
How much wear and tear is acceptable, e.g., on a chainsaw blade?
Are fuel or other consumables included in the rental price?
If in doubt, ask the lender!
3. Payment and Insurance
All rental payments must be made via Hygglo for the insurance to be valid.
If you pay the lender directly outside the platform, you will be violating our terms, and we won’t be able to assist if something goes wrong.
Exception: Additional costs for consumables can be paid directly to the lender.
4. Cancellation Policy
Make sure you read the cancellation policy before making payment, as it takes effect as soon as the transaction is completed.
5. Be a Good Borrower!
Ask questions and get useful tips from the lender – it’ll make your rental experience smoother and more enjoyable!
