How and when do I pay for my booking?

When to pay

You pay for your rental as soon as the lender approves your request. You will receive a notification once it has been approved.


Until the payment is made and the rental is verified, your booking is not confirmed, and other borrowers may still request the same dates.


Once the payment and verification has been completed, your booking will be secured.


How to Pay

You can pay using a debit or credit card. We currently support:

  • Visa

  • Mastercard

  • American Express

  • Apple Pay

All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

Note: We do not currently accept Vipps, Swish or other payment options.

If you have an account balance, it will automatically be deducted from your rental cost. If you have a voucher code, make sure to register it before making your payment.


Payment button unavailable

If you cannot see the payment button, it is usually because:

  • The lender has not yet approved your booking

  • The lender needs to update their payout information

What to do:

  1. Check your booking status to see if the lender has approved your request.

  2. Contact the lender through Hygglo if you are unsure.

  3. Allow some time, as most lenders respond quickly.


Secure payment

Payments made through Hygglo are protected.
Funds are held securely and are not released to the lender until the rental has ended.


Important: Always pay through Hygglo

Payments must be made through Hygglo to ensure that:

  • Your booking is covered by the applicable insurance or guarantee

  • We can assist you if any issues arise

  • The transaction is recognised as an official Hygglo booking

Paying for rent outside the platform is a breach of our terms and means we will be unable to assist if something goes wrong. It may also result in your account being suspended.
