Why verification matters
Verification is a key part of the plattform security. It helps ensure that every rental is safe, secure, and trustworthy. Before any rental can be confirmed, the borrower goes through a verification process. This protects both lenders and borrowers, helping to keep the platform reliable for everyone.
How verification works
Verification is part of the booking process. It begins after a lender has accepted the rental request and the borrower has completed payment.
Most verifications happen automatically and are completed within seconds.
In some cases, additional information may be required to confirm the borrower’s identity or eligibility before the rental can be approved.
Our verification system combines several layers of checks, which may include:
Identity confirmation
Credit checks
Review of rental history and trust activity
Extra verification for items of higher value or those considered higher risk
The purpose is always the same, to create a safe and trustworthy rental experience for everyone.
In the Nordic markets, credit checks are carried out through Creditsafe. These checks have no impact on your credit score or credit history, and your information is never shared with other companies.
If additional verification is needed
Occasionally, we may ask for extra information to complete a verification.
This could, for example, apply to rentals of higher value or to items that are considered higher risk. Requests for additional verification documents are a normal part of our safety process and help ensure that all rentals are approved securely and fairly.

Why verification may be required again
Verification is part of every rental. Even if you’ve rented before, you may be asked to verify again for reasons such as:
The item has a higher value or risk level than previous rentals
Your previous verification documents have expired or need updating
You won’t need to upload the same documents that have already been approved unless they are outdated or no longer valid, for example, if your name has changed or the details no longer match your current information. Your information must be accurate and up to date at the time of each rental.
This ensures that every rental is reviewed with the same level of care and security.
Your data and privacy
All personal information is handled securely and encrypted. We only share your data with trusted third parties when necessary, for example, to verify your identity, perform credit checks, or ensure payment security. We never sell your data or use it for any other purpose.
