Hygglo connects lenders and borrowers in a secure and straightforward way. The platform manages payments, booking terms, and protection in accordance with our insurance and guarantee policies. The rental agreement is made directly between the lender and the borrower. Hygglo acts only as an intermediary.
By creating an account, you agree to our Terms of Use and must comply with all applicable laws and regulations when using the platform.
Your responsibilities as a borrower
You are responsible for using the rented item safely, respectfully, and in accordance with both the lender’s instructions and Hygglo’s Terms of Use. To ensure a smooth and fair rental, you must:
Take care of the item
Handle the item with care and only use it for its intended purpose.
Follow any operating instructions provided by the lender.
Return the item in the same condition as when you collected it.
Normal wear and tear is acceptable, but excessive damage must be avoided.
Document the item’s condition
To protect yourself in case of a dispute, we recommend that you:
Take clear photos or videos of the item’s condition when you collect it, and
Do the same when you return it.
This helps confirm the item’s condition and prevents misunderstandings.
Report issues immediately
If you notice a problem with the item during the rental, you must:
Inform the lender as soon as possible, and
Cooperate with them to troubleshoot or resolve the issue.
Reporting issues promptly ensures fairness for both parties and helps maintain eligibility for protection.
Return the item on time
Return the item at the agreed time and location.
Late returns may result in additional rental charges for the delayed period.
Pay applicable costs
You are responsible for paying:
Any applicable excess if the item is damaged, lost, or stolen.
Any extra charges related to your use, such as tolls, fines, or similar expenses.
If these costs are not paid directly to the lender, Hygglo may charge you the amount owed.
Communicate clearly and respectfully
Coordinate pickup and return with the lender in advance.
Respond within a reasonable time to keep the rental process smooth.
Communicate in a polite and respectful manner with both the lender and Hygglo’s support team.
Using items safely and responsibly
You must:
Use the item only in a safe, lawful, and appropriate way.
Avoid misuse, overloading, modifications, or unsafe handling.
Follow all instructions, warnings, and safety guidelines.
If you do not use the item responsibly, you may be held liable for resulting damage or loss.
Motorised vehicles
When renting a motorised vehicle, you must:
Hold a valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type.
Meet any age or experience requirements set out by the Vehicle Guarantee.
Comply with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Use the vehicle only for lawful purposes and in accordance with the lender’s terms.
Return the vehicle on time and with the agreed fuel level.
Pay any additional costs that arise due to your use, such as tolls, parking fines, or congestion charges.
Note: Motorised vehicles may only be listed and rented out on Hygglo in Sweden, Norway and Finland. Any motorised vehicle rental created outside these countries will not be covered by Hygglo’s Vehicle Guarantee.
Liability
You are responsible for using all rented items in a safe, lawful, and respectful manner.
If you fail to meet your responsibilities, you may be held liable for any resulting damage, loss, or costs.
Hygglo may reduce or deny compensation if the applicable guarantee or insurance terms are not followed.
