Your responsibilities as a borrower
You are responsible for:
Taking care of the rented item – Handle the item with care and return it in the same condition as when you collected it. Normal wear and tear is acceptable, but any excessive damage must be avoided.
Covering costs for excess in case of damage or loss – If the rented item is damaged, lost, or stolen, you are responsible for paying the applicable excess.
Returning the item on time – Return the item at the agreed time. Late returns may result in additional rental charges for the delayed period.
Paying additional fees – You are responsible for paying any extra costs related to the rental, such as tolls, fines, cleaning costs, or fuel expenses. If you fail to pay these directly to the lender, Hygglo may charge you the amount owed.
Assisting the lender if issues arise – If problems occur during the rental due to your use of the item, handle the situation responsibly and cooperate with the lender to resolve it.
Motorised Vehicles
When renting a motorised vehicle, you must:
Hold a valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type.
Comply with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Use the vehicle only for lawful purposes and in accordance with the lender’s terms.
Return the vehicle on time and with the agreed fuel level.
Pay any fees that occur due to your use of the vehicle, such as tolls or parking fines.
Note: Motorised vehicles can currently only be rented out and borrowed in Sweden, Norway, and Finland.
Liability
You are responsible for using all rented items in a safe, lawful, and respectful manner. If you fail to meet your responsibilities, you may be held liable for any resulting damage, loss, or costs.
