How Hygglo works
Hygglo is a marketplace connecting lenders and renters.
The rental agreement is between the lender and borrower, not Hygglo.
Hygglo is not responsible for the item itself.
Your responsibilities as a user
You must provide accurate, up-to-date information.
You must follow the terms set out in the ToS and comply with local laws.
You are responsible for understanding which insurance or guarantee applies in your market and for your items.
You are responsible for the item during a rental (as a borrower).
You must describe items correctly and hand them over as agreed (as a lender).
Using the platform without reading the ToS does not exempt you from responsibility.
Listings and items
Listings must be accurate and clearly describe the item.
Only one item per listing.
No external links, prohibited content or unrelated promotion.
Items must comply with local rules and laws.
Payments and fees
Payments are handled by Stripe.
Fees apply to both lenders and borrowers.
Refunds follow the cancellation terms set by the lender in the listing.
Insurance and guarantees
Some items are covered by Hygglo’s insurance or guarantee (varies by country and item category).
Some items must be insured by the lender.
The ToS provide the framework for what applies in each market.
Disputes and claims
Users should try to resolve issues directly.
Hygglo may mediate if there is a disagreement.
Insurance complaints must often be directed to the insurer.
Privacy and personal data
The ToS describe how personal data is handled.
Users have rights to access, correct or request deletion of data.
Local privacy laws apply (GDPR, UK GDPR etc.).
