Lender's Responsibilities
Updated yesterday

Hygglo is a platform that connects lenders and borrowers in a simple and secure way. The platform manages rental terms, payments, and rental insurance in accordance with our insurance terms. Rental agreements are made directly between lenders and borrowers—Hygglo only acts as an intermediary.

By registering an account on Hygglo, you accept our terms of use. It is your responsibility to comply with the applicable terms and conditions when using the platform.

Your Responsibilities as a Lender

As a lender, you are responsible for:

  • Accurate Listings: Ensuring that your rental item is described truthfully, including its condition and intended use. Any defects or issues must be clearly stated in the listing.

  • Safety: Making sure the item is safe to use and suitable for rental.

  • Legal Compliance: Adhering to all applicable laws and regulations related to rentals.

  • Insurance: Keeping the item insured if it is not covered by Hygglo’s insurance. If required, you must obtain approval from your insurance provider before renting out the item.

  • Clear Terms and Fees: Communicating all rental conditions before the borrower makes a booking, including any additional fees and the expectations upon return of the item.

Renting Out Vehicles

If you rent out a vehicle, it must:

  • Be insured.

  • Have all required taxes paid.

  • Have a valid registration number and be road-legal.

Handling Issues During the Rental

If any issues arise during the rental period due to the use of your item, you are responsible for managing the situation in the best possible way and assisting the borrower as needed.
