Take Good Care of Rented Items

Everything you rent through Hygglo is protected – either by our insurance or a vehicle warranty. That means you're covered if something goes wrong. But as a borrower, it’s important that you handle the item responsibly and with care.

What Do We Mean by Carelessness?

If an item gets damaged due to clear carelessness, you may be held responsible in some cases. By carelessness, we mean things like:

  • Leaving an item out in the rain, even though it could get damaged.

  • Using something in a way it’s not intended to be used.

  • Leaving a rented item unattended in a public place.

These kinds of situations show a lack of caution or ignoring obvious risks.

Accidents Happen – And That’s Okay

There’s no need to stress if something unexpected happens. Our insurance is here to help even if you’ve just been unlucky. What matters is that you treat rented items with the same care you would if they were your own.

What Should I Do If Damage Occurs?

  • Contact the lender as soon as possible and describe what happened.

  • The lender will contact Hygglo to start a claim.

  • If you’ve rented a vehicle, Hygglo will contact you regarding the SEK/NOK 1,500 excess

Roadside Assistance for Vehicle Rentals

  • Included through Hygglo’s partner, Redgo.

  • Covers issues such as punctures, flat batteries or breakdowns.

  • No excess applies for roadside assistance.
