To improve safety and reliability in vehicle rentals, we are making important updates to Hygglo. Below are answers to common questions about what this means for you.
Why have car and motorcycle rentals been paused?
We are introducing new features to meet insurance requirements and ensure a secure rental experience for both lenders and borrowers. Until these updates are in place, car and motorcycle rentals will remain paused.
What happens to my car and motorcycle listings?
All car and motorcycle listings have been unpublished. Once rentals resume, you will be able to republish them.
Can I still rent out other types of vehicles?
Yes. Vans and light trucks are not affected by this pause and can still be rented out as usual.
Note for users in Denmark, the UK, US and Canada:
Vehicle rentals are currently limited to trailers only in these markets. Cars, motorcycles and other motorised vehicles cannot be listed or rented out.
When will car and motorcycle rentals be available again?
At this time, we do not have an estimated date for when car and motorcycle rentals will resume.
Can I list cars or motorcycles under other categories?
No. It is not permitted to list cars or motorcycles under other categories. Doing so means no insurance coverage will apply, and we will not be able to assist if anything happens during the rental.
I saw a car or motorcycle listing – what should I do?
If you come across a car or motorcycle listing on Hygglo, please report it to us so that we can remove it.
