How Hygglo works
Hygglo connects people who have items with those who need them. Listing your items is completely free, and you keep 80% of the rental price.
Hygglo handles the payment, verification, and protection so that renting stays safe and simple for everyone.
You can rent anything from tools and electronics to cameras, sports gear, and musical instruments.
Safety and protection
All rentals on Hygglo are protected by our Hygglo Care concept. This combines verification, safety, and protection for both lenders and borrowers.
In the Nordic countries, most users are verified with eID, though document verification is also available. Insurance cover is provided by Omocom for the majority of items listed on the platform.
In the UK, United States, and Canada, verification is completed through document checks and protection is offered through the Hygglo guarantee.
Payments are handled securely through the platform and are only released once the rental is complete.

Hygglo was founded in Stockholm in 2016 with the idea that things should be used.
Since 2022, Hygglo has joined forces with Fat Llama, the UK’s largest peer-to-peer rental platform. Together, we have built one global sharing community with the mission to make renting the new normal.
As of 24 November 2025, both brands are known as Hygglo, marking the official brand merge and the start of one global platform under a single name, Hygglo.
