Ensure your listings are accurate
Do:
Be truthful and precise in your listings, including clear item details and the correct handover location.
List each item separately.
Keep your listing photos and descriptions up to date.
Don’t:
Post multiple identical listings to manipulate visibility.
Include several unrelated items in one listing.
List locations where you cannot meet or frequently change them after accepting a request.
Misleading or inaccurate listings may be removed, and your account may receive a disciplinary flag.
Maintain your items
Do:
Keep your items in good condition and fully functional before renting them out.
Perform regular checks before and after each rental.
Carry out routine maintenance to ensure your items remain safe and reliable for borrowers.
Don’t:
Neglect the maintenance or cleanliness of your items. Poor condition could affect future rentals or lead to disputes.
Complete all rentals through the platform
Do:
Always complete bookings and payments through the platform to stay covered by our policies.
Wait until the booking has been verified and confirmed before handing over your item.
Don’t:
Accept cash or off-platform payments to cover the cost of the rent. This violates the platform’s terms, voids protection policies, and may result in account suspension.
Cancel bookings at the last minute without communicating with the borrower. If cancellation is unavoidable, inform the borrower as soon as possible and explain the reason clearly.
Renting outside the platform voids all protection, leaving both you and the borrower unprotected.
Communicate respectfully
Do:
Communicate in a polite and professional way with borrowers and support staff.
Be responsive to messages to ensure a smooth rental experience.
Don’t:
Engage in discrimination, harassment, or any form of disrespectful behaviour.
Use abusive or offensive language.
Breaches of these rules may result in account suspension or removal from the community.
