Cancelling a booking request

You can cancel a booking request anytime before making a payment. Once payment is completed, the request becomes an order, and the cancellation policy applies.

We recommend reviewing the cancellation policy for the item you wish to rent before completing payment. You can find these details in the item listing.

Understanding the cancellation policy

After payment, you’ll receive an order confirmation email with details about the cancellation policy and refund deadlines. Refunds may be:

  • Full refund (100%)

  • Partial refund (50%)

Hygglo offers three types of cancellation policies:

  • Flexible

  • Medium

  • Strict

How to Cancel an Order

  1. Go to your booking in your Hygglo account.

  2. Click the cancellation button.

  3. A confirmation pop-up will appear with information about your refund.

Refund Process

Once you cancel an order, a refund request is automatically sent to our payment provider, Stripe. Refunds typically take 5-10 days to process.

Refunds After the Rental Period Has Started

If an issue arises after the rental period begins and both you and the lender agree to a full refund, do not cancel the order yourself.

  • Why? Cancelling on your own after the rental period starts means you won’t receive a refund.

  • What to do instead? The lender must initiate the cancellation to ensure a full refund is processed.
