Important Things to Consider When Renting a Petrol Chainsaw
Updated over 2 weeks ago
  • Use the correct fuel
Check with the lender to ensure you use the right type of petrol and refuel the chainsaw properly.

  • Ensure proper lubrication
The chain requires oil for lubrication, and some models may also need engine oil. Confirm the requirements with the lender.

  • Check the chain tension
The chain should not be too tight against the guide bar, as this can cause overheating and excessive wear.

  • Replace a dull chain
If the chain becomes blunt, replace it with a sharp one. A dull chain increases the risk of overheating and makes cutting inefficient.

  • Only use the chainsaw for wood
Chainsaws are designed for cutting trees and branches—do not use them on other materials.
