Do you want to rent something through Hygglo? Follow these simple!
1. Search for the item you want to rent
Go to our website or into our app and enter the item you want to rent in the search bar.
Tips:
Enter your location to find items available nearby.
Search results are sorted by distance, with the closest items appearing first.
The further down you scroll, the further away the items are.
2. Choose an item and check the details
Click on an item listing to view more details. Here, you’ll find:
A description of the item
Pricing and cancellation terms (review these before sending a request)
Information about the lender
A calendar showing available rental dates
On mobile and in app: Tap "See available dates" to open the calendar.
How to select a rental period
Mark the first and last day of your rental period in the calendar.
The entire period will be automatically selected, and the total rental cost will be displayed.
Hygglo charges per day, not by the hour.
If you pick up an item on Saturday and return it on Sunday, you will be charged for two days, regardless of how many hours you actually use it.

3. Send a rental request
Once you have selected your rental period, click "Send a request."
New to Hygglo or not logged in? You’ll be prompted to log in or sign up with BankID.
Already logged in? You’ll see a confirmation that your request has been sent.
Increase your chances of getting a response quickly:
Send a message to the lender when you send a request. This often leads to faster and more positive responses.
Contact the lender before sending a request
Click "Send message" on the listing.
You need an account to send messages.
4. Wait for a response from the lender
The lender can:
Accept – You can rent the item for the selected period.
Decline – The request will be automatically archived.
Send a message – To discuss details.
You will receive notifications via the app or SMS.
You can send multiple rental requests.
You are not committed to anything until you make a payment, so sending multiple requests increases your chances of getting a quick response.
5. Make a payment to confirm the rental
Important: The rental is only confirmed once you have made a payment. This is also when the cancellation terms take effect.
To pay:
Go to the rental request in your Hygglo account.
Currently, payment is only available by credit card.
Once payment is completed, you will receive:
A booking confirmation/receipt on email
The lender's contact details
The exact pickup address
6. Pick up the rental item
Confirm the pickup time and location with the lender if you haven’t already.
Pickups are usually done at the lender's home, but you can agree on another location if needed.
At pickup:
Inspect the item together with the lender.
Confirm the return time if it hasn’t been set.
If something happens during the rental period:
Handle the rental item with care. If an accident or damage occurs, Hygglo’s insurance covers damage to rented property. Contact the lender as soon as possible.
7. Return the item
Return the item at the agreed time and place.
If you are delayed, inform the lender as soon as possible.
The rental period will automatically end either when the period expires or when the lender marks the item as returned.
Need to extend the rental period?
Send a new request to the lender to check if an extension is possible.
8. Leave a review
The final step is to leave a review of your rental experience.

They help other users find reliable lenders.
They contribute to a safer platform for everyone.
