Advanced settings for listings
Updated yesterday

When editing your ads, you’ll find two additional fields under the section called Advanced settings. These features are designed to provide greater flexibility and control over your listings. Here’s how to use them:

1. Inventory of items (Quantity)

This feature allows you to specify the number of identical items available for rent within a single listing. It’s perfect for situations where multiple users may want to rent the same type of item simultaneously.

How it works:

  • Example: If you have three GoPro cameras, you can use this field to enable up to three users to rent them at the same time.

  • Limitation: This feature does not allow a single user to rent multiple items from the same listing. For instance, if you have 50 chairs and want users to select how many to rent, this functionality is not available yet.

When to use it:

  • Use this feature if you have identical items and want to maximise rental opportunities.

  • This ensures your listing remains visible to more potential renters until all items are rented out.

2. Minimum rental days

This feature lets you set the minimum number of days a renter must select when renting an item. While it provides control over rental durations, it may also reduce flexibility for renters.

Key considerations:

  • Impact on Renters: A higher minimum rental period might make your listing less appealing compared to others in the area. For instance, if a renter needs an item for only two days but your minimum is set to three, they are more likely to rent from someone else.

  • When to Use: This feature is ideal for items where longer rental periods are common or necessary, such as party tents that require some time to setup and take down.

By leveraging these advanced settings, you can better customise your ads to suit your needs and attract the right renters. However, be mindful of how these settings might impact the appeal of your listings.
