Yes, you can create a business account on Hygglo if you are renting out items.
How to create a business account
Create an account
Sign up using your email, Google, Apple ID, or (in the Nordics) eID.
The account must be created in the name of the individual who will manage it. Enter this person’s name in the Name field during signup.
If you register with eID, your name will be automatically retrieved from your eID details.
Publish a listing
Only users who are renting out items can have a business account.
Create and publish your first listing before switching to a business profile.
Switch to a business profile
Go to Edit profile.
Under How you lend, select that you rent out as a company.
Enter your company details in the fields that appear.
What’s the difference between a business and a personal account?
The differences are small, but here’s what changes when you switch to a business profile:
How you’re shown: Even when you rent out through a company, your Hygglo profile represents you as a person. Borrowers see your first name, last initial, and profile photo. Your company name isn’t shown on your listings, profile, in messages, or reviews.
Your name: Use your own first name on your profile. You can use the first name you normally go by, but you shouldn’t use your company name as your personal name.
Profile photo: Use a clear photo of yourself as your profile picture, not your company logo.
Company details: Your company’s legal details are still stored on your business profile and used where needed, such as on receipts and invoices.
Receipts: Your company’s legal name is shown on receipts instead of your personal name.
VAT on receipts: VAT is included on the borrower’s receipt when applicable.
Account management: The account remains linked to the individual who created it. This person is responsible for managing the listings and communication on behalf of the business.
Why do I need to use my own name and photo?
Hygglo is built around people renting from people. This also applies when you rent out through a company. Showing the person behind the account helps borrowers know who they’re communicating and renting with.
Your company details are still used where they’re needed for the business side of the rental, including receipts and invoices.
Renting as a business
There is no difference between a business and a personal account when renting items from others. The business setting only applies when you are renting items out.
When you rent something, you always do it as a private individual. It is therefore not possible to make a booking in a company’s name or receive an invoice issued directly to a business.
However, the private individual who rents can use the receipt from Hygglo for expense reporting in their company’s accounts, if the company is covering the cost.
Important information
The legal name on the account must always reflect the person who registered and manages the account.
If you rent out as a company, add your company’s legal name and details to your business profile. These details are used where needed, such as on receipts and invoices, but your company name is not shown publicly.
It is not currently possible to have multiple users managing one account. Each Hygglo account must belong to and be managed by a single individual.
