What’s the difference between a business and a personal account?
The differences are small, but here’s what changes when you switch to a business profile:
Display name: Your company name will appear on your listings, in messages, and on receipts.
VAT on receipts: VAT is included on the borrower’s receipt when applicable.
Account management: The account remains linked to the individual who created it. This person is responsible for managing the listings and communication on behalf of the business.
Renting as a business
There is no difference between a business and a personal account when renting items from others. The business setting only applies when you are renting items out.
When you rent something, you always do it as a private individual. It is therefore not possible to make a booking in a company’s name or receive an invoice issued directly to a business.
However, the private individual who rents can use the receipt from Hygglo for expense reporting in their company’s accounts, if the company is covering the cost.
Important information
The Name fields must always reflect the person who has registered and manages the account.
The Company name field should be used for your business name if you are renting out as a company.
It is not currently possible to have multiple users managing one account. Each Hygglo account must belong to and be managed by a single individual.
