Send a request and create an account
Submit a rental request. Creating an account is required if you haven’t got one already. An order request is not binding at this stage.
Request approval
The lender reviews your request and approves it.
Booking and payment
Once the lender approves, you will receive a notification. You then pay securely by card through Hygglo. A booking fee applies.
Get verified
Hygglo verifies your details for security. Once verification is approved, the booking is confirmed, and the cancellation policy applies.
Arrange handover
Agree on exact pick-up and return times directly with the lender.
Enjoy your rental
Collect the item at the agreed time and use it during the booked period.
Return the item
Bring it back on time at the agreed place. You can also leave a review after the rental.

Lending on Hygglo (as a lender)
Create an account & listings
Register an account and create one or several listings (ads) for the items you want to rent out.
Receive requests
When you get a rental request, approve or decline it depending on your availability.
Borrower payment
After approval, the borrower pays through Hygglo. The booking is not yet confirmed.
Borrower verification
Hygglo verifies the borrower for security. Once verification is approved, the booking is confirmed, and the cancellation policy applies.
Arrange handover
Agree on exact times for delivery and return with the borrower.
Hand over the item
Meet at the agreed time/place. Hand over the item and mark it as “picked up” in Hygglo.
Item returned
When the borrower returns the item, mark it as “returned” in Hygglo. This ends the rental.
Get paid
Your payout is sent automatically. Hygglo takes a commission on completed rentals.

A: Payouts are made automatically after the rental has been marked as returned in Hygglo.
Q: Can I meet the borrower or lender anywhere?
A: Yes. Borrowers and lenders agree directly on the exact place and time for handover and return.

A: Yes. All users need an account, and verification will be required. The type of verification depends on factors such as the item being rented, its value, and the borrower’s rental history.
Q: What happens if I need to cancel?
A: The cancellation policy applies once the booking is confirmed after verification and approval. The terms depend on when the cancellation is made and what cancellation policy is valid for the rented item.
Q: Is communication outside Hygglo allowed?
A: Before a booking is confirmed, it is not allowed to share personal contact details. All communication must go through Hygglo until the booking is confirmed. After a rental is booked, you may communicate outside the platform if needed, for example, to arrange handover. However, charging or accepting payment for rent outside of Hygglo is never allowed and is a clear breach of our terms.
